Music of a unique group of singer-songwriters and arrangers who collaborated in the Brill Building from 1958-1970
Gisele Jackson and Joris Dudli share a long musical relationship which originated in New York. Their new project focuses almost exclusively on the music of a unique group of singer-songwriters and arrangers who from 1958 to 1970 collaborated in the Brill Building, 1619 Broadway, NYC.
Hit after hit was produced here. Among them were Lieber and Stoller (Smokey Joe’s Cafe), Pomus and Shuman, Phil Spector, Laura Nyro and Burt Bacharach, just to name a few. The songs “You’ll Never Get To Heaven”, “Wishin’ and Hopin'”, and “Save The Last Dance For Me” were gems for artist Dionne Warwick and The Drifters. Do join us on this stroll down Musical Memory Lane!
